Even though there might not be changes as far as the line-up is concerned, there are still some changes that were made this week. We have added more coaches and have added another frontline caliber starting pitcher. As before the team will play with a DH but, we are moving on up to a 5-man pitching rotation. Also remember the stats you see below are indicative of their career averages. Also quick note, I will be trying to post new material while on vacation in Wisconsin but please understand if I can’t.

Coaches:
Manager: Bobby Jones
Assistant Coaches: Wes Swackhamer, Mike Matheny, Fausto Cruz
Summary:
No changes to the line-up as Fausto Cruz was not able to crack the 25-man roster. However, he did get added on as a coach, and can also serve as the squads official Spanish translator if the need arises. However, with the addition of Kevin Brown into the rotation Mike Matheny was also not able to keep his spot on the team. But don’t worry he’s now an assistant coach, behind a guy that has never managed an MLB game in his life. And Wes Swackhamer is at the grocery store making the difficult decision on whether to buy Powerade or Gatorade for the team.
As I said before Kevin Brown was added to the rotation and he takes over the 2nd spot from Fernando Valenzuela. Valenzuela being the only left-handed pitcher on the team will now be sandwiched in-between 4 righties providing a small break between the right-handed starters. The bullpen has stayed the same and has not decreased in size meaning that there is less pressure on the starters to go deep into games every time out.
And with that version 5 of the squad is ready to go.
A quick little note before I leave you guys, while in Wisconsin I’ll be attending a Milwaukee Brewers game and I plan on posting a review for that sometime on Sunday or Monday.
